Courses on Conduct of Elections (CoE)

Objective of the Course To prepare the election machinery for the conduct of elections.
Course Content All topics relating to Conduct of Elections including Nominations, Scrutiny, Withdrawal, Symbol Allotment, MCC, District Election Plan preparation, EVMs, Election Expenditure Monitoring, Paid News, Postal Ballot, Poll Day Arrangements, Roles and Responsibilities of POs and other members of Polling Parties, Counting of Votes, SVEEP, Law and Order Control, Deployment and Logistics of Forces, Vulnerability Mapping, Control over Liquor, Arms and Ammunitions and other forms of Illegal Monetary Inducement, Election Expenditure Monitoring related matters etc.
Special focus is on Training Methodologies and Skills and Administration of the Training Plan for Master Trainers.
Methodology Various training methodologies including lectures, group exercises, presentations, hands-on and end-of-training tests would be used.
Trainees State and Assembly Level Master Trainers, DEOs, Dy. DEOs, ROs, AROs, Police Income Tax and State Excise Officers, BLOs, Polling and Counting personnel, EVM ground staff, Sector and Zonal Officers and Magistrates, Micro-Observers etc.
Duration 1 to 5 Days, depending on who the trainees are. Shorter duration refresher courses may be organized, if required.
